The short answer
Most commercial cladding resprays take three to seven days on site, depending on the size of the building and the condition of the cladding. The finish is backed by a manufacturer warranty, typically ten years on cladding systems, fifteen years and up on roof systems and up to twenty five years on premium options.
What sets the timescale
Two things decide how long a respray takes: how much cladding there is, and what state it is in. A single elevation on a small unit is a different job from four elevations and a roof on a distribution warehouse. Cladding that is clean and faded can be washed and sprayed quickly. Cladding with cut edge corrosion, damaged panels or years of chalking needs treating and preparing before any coating goes on, and that preparation is where the time goes.
Weather matters too. Coatings need dry conditions to cure properly, so a wet week can stretch a job. We plan for it and we tell you if it happens.
A typical week on site
Day one is usually access, protection and cleaning. The building is jet washed, masking goes up around windows, gutters, signage, vehicles and stock, and any corrosion or damage is treated. Spraying follows once the surfaces are prepared, elevation by elevation, with primer and topcoat. The last day is inspection, touch ups, removing the masking and clearing the site.

Does the building have to close?
No. Almost all of our commercial work is done on buildings that are open and trading. We plan the order of elevations, the access and the masking around your deliveries and your people, and where daytime work would get in the way we can work evenings or weekends.

The prep is what makes the difference. A coating sprayed over dirt, chalk or loose rust fails early however good the paint is, which is why cleaning and corrosion treatment are never skipped on our jobs.
